About the Designer
Shirley DeBoer is the visionary creator and operator of the CHICELY brand. From a young age, she was mesmerized by the beautiful dresses worn by other girls in her neighborhood. However, her family's financial struggles prevented her from having access to such luxuries. Shirley was often left with hand-me-downs and at times, insufficient food to eat. It wasn't until the age of 13 when her mother managed to save enough money to have a dress custom-made for her, which brought immense happiness to Shirley's life.
Despite facing financial difficulties and never having the chance to wear beautiful dresses as a child, Shirley DeBoer held onto her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Her ultimate goal was to create stunning garments that would bring joy to her customers' hearts. In 2019, she turned this dream into a reality with the launch of her online brand, CHICELY.com.
In addition to creating beautiful clothes for women, Shirley also gives back to the community by donating some of the profits to help disadvantaged children who struggle with hunger. By doing so, she hopes to make a positive impact on the world and help others who face similar struggles that she experienced in her childhood.
